Green Card -kortti saapui / The Green Cards are here!

Tänään tuli postissa Green Cardit, eli itse ne oleskelulupakortit. Nyt voi siis vihdoin lopettaa passin raahaamisen (jossa on ollut se viisumi ja leima, jotka toimivat väliaikaisena Green Cardina) mukana koko ajan. Ja ne Green Cardit on muuten nykyään jälleen vihreät, ei valkoiset.

Ainoa hassu juttu on, että kortit ja viime viikolla tulleet statuspäivityskirjeet ovat tulleet vain minulle ja lapselle, eikä tuolle itse arvonnassa voittaneelle puolisolle ollenkaan. Saas nähdä mikä soppa tästäkin tulee..

The actual Green Card has arrived. Now I can finally leave my passport home. We were told that we (me and my husband) have to keep the passports with us at all times, since the visa + stamp is the temporary Green Card. And the Cards are actually Green again, not white, as they used to be.

The only funny thing is that only me and my son did get the cards and the mail before it. My husband was the one that did win at the DV lottery, but he has not gotten his card yet..
